DIPLOSOL™ is known chemically as the salicylic ester of salicylic acid (SESA), as well as salicylosalicyic acid (SSA), salsalate, and salicylsalicylic acid. SESA’s effect on pain and inflammation for rheumatism (rheumatoid and osteoarthritis) has been extensively studied and reported in the medical literature for over 114 years (one hundred and fourteen years).

The longest study ever conducted using SESA was done by Hauser* where SESA was tested for 30 months in patients with blockages of their coronary arteries. The results indicated a safe cardiovascular profile with no worsening of the severity of coronary artery blockages. The SESA treated patients had no statistically significantly higher rate of adverse events (neither serious nor non serious type) compared to the placebo group, suggesting a favorable long-term safety of this medication.

THIS LONG TERM SAFETY DATA CANNOT BE SAID FOR NASIDS SUCH AS MOTRIN, ALEVE, CELEBREX, MOBIC, OR VOLTAREN), ACETAMINOPHEN (TYLENOL) or OPIOIDS

Multiple studies have been conducted on the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding with SESA and all confirmed the lack of bleeding in patients or healthy volunteers taking SESA.
